You’ve probably found my little site because you had some sort of Apple-related computer problem that you Googled and now you’re working down the search results page until you can find an answer that 1) you can understand and 2) actually solves your problem. This site will never be an encyclopedia of all computing solutions (nothing close to that, in fact), but if you happen to have the same specific problem that I’ve solved in the past, it will hopefully be the last site you need to visit today.
I am not a coder, I am not a hacker, I have received no professional IT training — I am simply a layperson who has used computers (mainly Apple products: iMacs, iPhones, iPads, pretty much anything with an i) my whole life and seem to understand them pretty well. No matter how much I resist, I always become the de facto IT person in my workplace, and I’m the first person anyone in my family calls when the computer “is doing something weird.”
A few of my proudest moments:
- Teaching a blind person to use an iPhone and MacBook Pro
- Getting my 91 year old grandma addicted to using her iPad
- Converting my X-Files DVD collection to iPod video just a month before the entire series became available in HD on Netflix 🙁
Until now, the beneficiaries of my tech problem solving have been limited to people I know, but some of those problems took a lot of tinkering and troubleshooting, so I figured I may be able to save some people out there some time by putting my solutions online.
I hope this helps in some way!
